| Welcome to beautiful Riverwalk! |
Pool Opens
The neighborhood pool opens today, May 19, 2012. We are counting on all residents to help keep us looking our best. Below are the pool rules. Review these rules and be sure your adolescent and adult children are aware of them.
We look forward to a fun filled summer.
2012 Riverwalk Pool Information/Reminders For All Residents:
We have already had some vandalism at the pool on several different occasions. It is everyone's responsibility to help maintain a safe and beautiful pool area. Vandalism and trespassing adds to the cost of maintaining the pool and grounds. Please report any and all suspicious activity to the police and our neighborhood watch committee chairman, Steve Wood 770 577-0548.
If you have any questions about this, please contact your HOA President, Marti Cobb or Pool Manager, Diane King
STAY SAFE AND HAVE FUN!!
Quarterly Meeting: June 5th
Our next quarterly meeting will be on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the clubhouse. Please join us for an update on the neighborhood. Neighborhood Watch Chairman, Steve Woods, will report on the progress of his committee. Remember, it is never too late to sign up to participate. We have had good response so far, but there are still a few “holes” to be filled.
Flowers have been planted at the entrance and the flag pole now has adequate and proper lighting. Notice that the tennis courts have been cleaned and pressure washed, and the hill leading down to the tennis courts has been cleaned and planted. A retention wall has been placed at the bottom of the hill to prevent any more mud slides.
Neighborhood Watch Kickoff
Thursday, June 7, 2012
7:00 PM
Riverwalk Clubhouse
Please join our efforts to add a little extra security to our community. Deputy Traci Sullivan from the Douglas County Sheriff's Department will be here to guide us on how to accomplish this. Her presentation will last about one hour. After that, we will spend another 30 minutes or so forming our next steps as a Watch Neighborhood.
We will videotape her presentation so we can show it at another time for those who will be unable to attend on June 7.
We have a strong core of neighbors. If you would like to join in keeping our neighborhood safe, please come on June 7 and/or contact Chairman Steve Wood at steven.wood.home@gmail.com

Updating the Directory - we need your info!
We are always trying to update our neighborhood directory and want to make sure we have your most recent information. Have you changed email addresses? Want to add a 2nd address to the mailing list? Changed your phone number? Do you think you have NOT been getting Riverwalk Emails?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, or even if you didn't - email Gail Drinkard, website adminstrator at riverwalkhoa@gmail.com with your current information and we'll make sure your listing is up to date.
Attempted Break-In Reported !
There has been an attempted break-in on Hemlock Court here in Riverwalk.
At one residence, 3 of their front bay window locks had been pried up by apparent burglars and one of the windows was almost pried open. There was also a large hole dug by the front door next to the sidewalk. What makes this more frightening is the resident believes they were home (during the day) when this incident was attempted. There Sheriff's office is investigating.
We urge you to be very aware of unusual activity and vehicles both during the day and at night.
Please make sure your doors are locked, and if you have an alarm system, please use it. It may be your best defense against damage and loss. If your windows have extra locks that prevent the window from being raised more than a few inches, use those also.
Vandalism Issues
Over the last few month, we have seen a dramatic increase in acts of vandalism on Riverwalk Homeowners
Association property. Two “speed limit” signs have been pulled out of the ground and thrown into the
woods and shrubs, a light fixture from the top of a brick column at the pool has been broken off and for the
third time this season, the pool gate locking system has been tampered with and broken. Each service call
cost approximately $150.00. We have also on several occasions, found pool furniture in the pool.
We are filing a report with the Douglas County Sheriff’s office, but since this is a “Community Watch”
subdivision, we are asking any resident that has any information regarding these acts of vandalism to report
them to a Board member. Repair, replacement or re-installation will cost all of us!
Reminder:
Trash cans are supposed to be stored out-of-site from the road.
Low maintenance vinyl screens are available for $20 and up at Lowe's and or Home Depot.

Riverwalk on Facebook
A resident from Riverwalk Subdivision has set up a Facebook page for communication among neighborhood residents. To contact board members for any reason, please use the addresses and phone numbers you find on this website, or send messages through riverwalkhoa@gmail.com and we will make sure they get to the appropriate officers.
